Showers Pass Club Convertible Pants
The self-described "rain pant" by Showers Pass, the Club Convertible Pant is waterproof, breathable, and can be worn as full-length pants or 3/4 length knickers. In the truest sense, these are real pair of pants -- they have have pockets, a traditional fly, elastic waist, normal ankle cuff width, and a comfortable fit -- not a pant-looking piece of clothing that is pulled over your street clothes and fits like a square peg going into a round hole. The Club Convertible Pant is made to be worn. Although if you do want to throw them on over your clothes for your daily commute, you'll be thankful for the easy on-off with the zippered ankles. You'll also be thankful for the reflective trim around each leg when riding during a low-light time of the day.
The pants are made with a combination of ARTEX waterproof fabric (fully taped seams) and strategically placed panels of Lycra for lower leg ventilation. They'll keep you dry when it's raining, unless you zipped the lower section of the legs off and you're getting splashed, and will make sure that you're staying cool underneath while you're trying to keep the water out. The breathability of the pant comes from 2 places: 1) ARTEX fabric by it's nature is breathable 2) The strategically placed panel of Lycra around the articulated knee allows air to pass through.
The 'convertible' feature of the pant is it's ability to morph into a pair of knickers from a full-length pair of pants, and back again, with the ease of unzipping a zipper. Each leg has a zipper directly under the reflective stripe at the mid-calf area of the pant, which can be folded up to expose the zipper. Depending on whether the legs are on or off, you can zip or unzip the zippers to take off or put back on the the lower section of the pant leg. This means you can wear them as pants on your early morning commute and zip off the legs before riding home that evening when the temperature has risen.
Features to mention:
• durable, medium weight waterproof-breathable fabric
• fully taped seams
• articulated knee with Lycra panel for lower leg ventilation
• traditional fly and elastic waist
• 3M reflective trim for added visibility
• suspender compatible
• zippered ankles for easy on-off over shoes
• mesh lined side pockets with waterproof zippers
• easily convertible from pants to knickers and back again
Standard Fit - Designed to fit over cycling or street clothes
