Assos Base Layers Information

Whether you are riding in sub-freezing conditions or a hot summer scorcher, a base layer should be your first layer under any cycling kit. Assos base layers are constructed of stretchy, synthetic material that picks sweat up from your skin and transports it to the outside of the fabric where it spreads over the surface and quickly evaporates. The wicking affect dries your skin, keeping you warmer in cold weather and cooler in warm weather. Assos sleeveless base layers are extremely lightweight and have a low profile collar and no sleeves, so they disappear under a summer cycling jersey. Assos short sleeve base layers can be worn in spring, summer, and fall. The fabric panels are designed with minimal seams and avoid stitching in the armpits where it could easily cause irritation. Assos winter base layers have long sleeves and are thicker to provide insulation. They come with a crew neck or with a zipped, raised collar that protects your neck from chills. Like the rest of the Assos clothing line, the base layers are built to fit your body on the bike. Upon first trying one on, you might notice that it pulls in the shoulders, but as soon as you get into the riding position it will click into place. Assos base layers are intended to be unisex sizing.
