The goal of the Free Bibshort is for you to feel totally free while still abiding by all laws governing public decency. Castelli has designed the Free for maximum comfort and minimum restriction of motion. Tailored from three high performance textiles, each strategically placed to gain maximum benefit from their unique qualities. The Free also incorporates a women’s specific version of the temperature regulating AC seatpad and Giro+ injection molded silicon leg grippers.
Action fabric, a 210 gram microdenier that is 80% nylon / 20% lycra® and is renowned for its complete comfort since it’s completely soft on the skin, yet highly abrasion resistant, with Prosecco treatment designed to disperse sweat and increase evaporation.
Breath fabric on the front and lower back featuring Prosecco treatment and a nylon Lycra blend in an open weave design allows for significant airflow around individual fibers, thereby evaporating more moisture from inside.
Energia fabric with Prosecco treatment on sides and back for perfect horizontal stretch and immediate return. Supports muscles without constricting and has a ribbed knit surface that aids in aerodynamics.
AC37 seat pad is a feat of science. It features NASA-designed ComfortTemp technology to keep the pad temp constant at 37ºC/98ºF. The chamois also uses a triple layer, thermowelded multi-density foam for seamless comfort and progressive damping, making sure the cushioning always cushions. Finally, each of these three layers has additional perforations which provide even more airflow and breathability to the pad.
