Assos Tights Information

Like the entire Assos clothing collection, Assos tights and bib tights are cut to perfectly conform to your body in the riding position. Achieving a perfect fit is a challenge with winter tights, because they need to keep you warm without adding bulk and without restricting your freedom of movement. Assos tights use wind blocking fabric to wrap the knee, outer thigh and hip. The inside of the knee and lower leg is made of a more stretchy, lighter weight thermal fabric that lets your knee joint move freely through the pedal stroke. The abdomen and inside of the thighs are insulated with a double-layer of fleecy fabric.

Men’s Assos bib tights have a bib upper that wraps the abdomen to provide extra warmth. A wider strap system that sits in the center of the chest rather than the outside avoids the nipples to prevent chafing that occurs in cold weather. A front zipper makes the bibs easy to take on and off. Women’s Assos bib tights cover the abdomen and have a central strap with an adjustable clasp that can be easily unhooked at restroom stops. One fabulous feature on all Assos tights is the thin, soft foot straps that keep the legs in place and prevent the cold air from hitting your ankles.

Assos winter tights come with or without a chamois insert. Unpadded tights can be worn over your favorite bike shorts and on consecutive days without being laundered. The padded tights feature the famously comfortable Assos chamois pads, which are constructed of high-density memory foam to mold to your shape and which also provide excellent breathability.
